The Bible tells us what age each person was when (each of the patriarchs) his son was born. For example, Genesis 5 tells us that Adam was 130 years old when his son Seth was born. Seth was 105 years old when his son Enoch was born. Believers believe:
- Adam and Eve lived at around 4000 B.C.
- Adam was 130 years old when he had Seth.
- Seth was 105 years old when his son Enoch was born.
- Adam lived more than 900 years before he died.
This is only 6000 years ago.
Few christians will admit knowledge of this.
Fewer will pair it with a telling of a story or anecdote about one of these old patriarchs.
